Our Vision
Building location intelligence for everyone.
A letter from founder
On building maps that matter to all.
Maps were never meant to be static.
For most of human history, maps were living systems shaped by travelers, merchants, communities, explorers, and storytellers. They reflected movement, memory, danger, opportunity, culture, and human behavior in real time.
But somewhere along the way, digital maps became utilities.
Today's maps are incredibly useful for navigation, but they are still fundamentally passive. They tell you where a place is, but rarely what it feels like right now. They help you move, but not truly understand. They are optimized for routes, not reality.
Yet the world itself has become live.
Cities evolve by the minute. Restaurants trend overnight. Streets flood. Events emerge spontaneously. Communities organize instantly. Traffic shifts dynamically. Pop-up experiences appear and disappear within hours. People increasingly discover the world through social feeds, not map interfaces.
And still, our maps remain mostly frozen snapshots.
We believe that has to change.
That is why we are building Zeek Maps, a live maps platform for everyone.
The internet began with webpages. Then came feeds. Then mobile apps. Then AI assistants.
We believe the next major interface is the live map. We believe maps are one of the most important interfaces humans have ever created.
We believe the future belongs to community-driven maps: maps created, curated, and maintained by the people who actually live there.
The future map is not only about getting somewhere.
It is about understanding where you are in the world and what that place means.
With gratitude and resolve,
